Homelessness

  • Each day, 1 in 200 Australians is homeless
  • Last year 105,000 people experienced homelessness
  • 1 in 154 people sought help from a homeless service
  • 23% of Australia's homeless are children
  • Of every 42 children under 4, one has experienced homelessness
  • Every day, half the people that request immediate assistance are turned away
  • 2 of every 3 children who need support are also turned away
  • And almost 80% of families are turned away

Animal Cruelty

  • Nearly half of all animals that enter a shelter never make it out
  • Every year 1 billion animals are slaughtered by the leather industry
  • Every year 100 million animals die in experiments and tests
  • Every year 3 to 4 million cats and dogs (healthy and adoptable) are euthanized

Our Stand

Get Back On Track
One of our two focus points is reducing the level of Homelessness in Australia. The Boss Foundation's 'Get Back On Track' program, is a proactive effort to not only maintain the present problem we have, but rather to put steps in place to permanently reduce the homeless numbers.

End Animal Cruelty
Our other focus is Animals and Wildlife. This could include animal cruelty, or simply animals and wildlife in need of rescue and care after trauma. This is a specialist field and mostly we are here to support the great work of existing foundations such as Animals Australia and the RSPCA.
